Sao Paulo, Brazil - United States Trade Representative Ron Kirk arrived in Brazil this morning to meet with Brazilian government officials and business owners. During his meetings Ambassador Kirk will discuss such topics as bilateral trade, innovation and intellectual property rights.
Later this afternoon, Ambassador Kirk will address members of the American Chamber of Commerce and meet with members of the private sector as well as labor leaders. After the meeting, Ambassador Kirk will participate in a Q&A session that is open to the press.
On Thursday, September 17, Ambassador Kirk will join Minister of Exterior Relations Celso Amorim for a photo opportunity and press availability in Brasilia. Additional details on these press events are forthcoming.
