USTR's Office of Small Business, Market Access, and Industrial Competitiveness (SBMAIC) is the USTR office responsible for manufactured goods trade policy and addressing market access, competitiveness, rules of origin, and small business issues facing U.S. exports of industrial and manufactured goods.
The SBMAIC office serves as a focal point for tackling key tariff and non-tariff barriers. SBMAIC works to develop creative approaches to minimizing future trade barriers through regulatory cooperation, leveraging the broad expertise of USTR's regional and functional offices and tapping into key resources from other U.S. agencies. The SBMAIC office also leads USTR's trade policy efforts to address the challenges facing smaller exporters and promote the global export opportunities that these businesses need to create jobs here in the United States.
