The following is a statement from Illinois Farm Bureau President Richard Guebert, Jr., regarding today’s signing of the U.S.-Japan Trade Agreement.
“We are pleased to hear that negotiations between Japan and the United States have concluded with a signed trade agreement that will help to open up markets for Illinois farmers and again provide trade benefits between the two nations.
“U.S. farmers remain strong in their ability to feed the world when they have improved access to some of the world’s largest markets.
