Pakistan Trade & Investment Summary
U.S. goods exports to Pakistan in 2022 were $3.2 billion, down 12.7 percent ($460 million) from 2021 but up 106 percent from 2012. U.S. goods imports from Pakistan totaled $6.0 billion in 2022, up 13.5 percent ($713 million) from 2021, and up 65 percent from 2012. The U.S. goods trade deficit with Pakistan was $2.8 billion in 2022, a 70.5 percent increase ($1.2 billion) over 2021.
U.S. foreign direct investment (FDI) in Pakistan (stock) was $127 million in 2022, a 59.3 percent decrease from 2021.
Pakistan's FDI in the United States (stock) was $144 million in 2022, down 14.3 percent from 2021.
