FTAs with Government Procurement Obligations

Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) include government procurement obligations that provide rules and procedures to ensure that procurements covered by the FTA are conducted in a fair, transparent, and predictable manner.

The FTAs ensure that U.S. goods and services, and suppliers of U.S. goods and services receive national treatment in the government procurement of FTA partners.

Each FTA specifies the government procurement covered by the United States and the other parties to the agreement.
