OSAKA – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met with World Trade Organization (WTO) Director-General, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, ahead of the G7 Trade Ministers’ Meeting.
Ambassador Tai and Director-General Okonjo-Iweala shared their reactions from the WTO Senior Officials Meetings in Geneva this week. Ambassador Tai shared her optimism about the agenda for the 13th Ministerial Conference (MC13), which will take place in February 2024 in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Ambassador Tai emphasized the United States’ commitment to working with WTO Members and Director-General Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala over the next several months to ensure a successful MC13.
