Davos Platz, Switzerland – United States Trade Representative Katherine Tai today met with United Kingdom Secretary of State for International Trade, Kemi Badenoch to discuss their shared commitment to strengthening the bilateral relationship and issues of shared concern, including the challenges posed by non-market economies.
Ambassador Tai and Secretary of State Badenoch also exchanged views on the importance of working with World Trade Organization Members to reform and strengthen the organization so it better serves the lives and livelihood of all people. They also discussed the importance of investing in clean energy technology and Ambassador Tai acknowledged the UK’s concerns with the Inflation Reduction Act.
Ambassador Tai and Secretary of State Badenoch agreed to stay in close touch in the future, including through the U.S. – UK Dialogues on the Future of Atlantic Trade.
